GMC May meeting covers social media; online stream viewed by over 130 across several states
The GMC's May meeting covered social media. Not just how people use it, but how organizations and companies can - and do - use it to relate to customers and employees, improve their marketing, float ideas and products and more. The meeting featured Brian Kalma, Director of User Experience at Zappos, the highly successful online shoe retailer. Also featured were Allan Schoenberg, Director of Corporate Communications at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Tina Chang, CEO of SysLogic, Inc., and Steve Glynn, President of local social media agency Spreenkler.
The GMC used its Twitter account to provide updates, field questions for panelists and provide information on the first-ever live streaming of its meeting. Over 130 people connected to the live stream and watched from Wisconsin, Illinois, New York and beyond.
