The Infrastructure committee met in mid-July to discuss our charter and what the committee would like to prioritize within this area of our strategy. There was consensus that we wanted to prioritize the Lakefront Gateway, but specifically the pedestrian bridges over Lincoln Memorial Drive and Michigan. There is potential TIF funding from the City to assist with an updated design plan, but we need to find a maintenance partner will agree to maintain the bridge for the long-term before we can move forward. Since that meeting, we have been gathering information on what that long-term maintenance would look like and cost and will regroup with our committee soon to discuss the next steps.
