Watch: Milwaukee CEOs talk importance of a tech recruiting coalition for region

John Schlifske, Northwestern Mutual's chairman, president and CEO, announced the creation of a coalition Monday during the Greater Milwaukee Committee's membership meeting that will focus on attracting and retaining technology professionals.

High-level members of the new coalition are expected to be formed within three to six months, Schlifske said.

Other business leaders joined Schlifske in a panel discussion during the GMC event to talk about the importance of recruiting tech talent. The panel included Cynthia LaConte, CEO of The Dohmen Co., Cory Nettles, managing director of Generation Growth Capital, Todd Teske, chairman, president and CEO of Briggs & Stratton Corp. and Alan Yeung, director of U.S. Strategic Initiatives for Foxconn.
