The Public Safety Committee continues to move from listening and planning toward action. We are currently advancing a workforce pathways pilot that connects GMC member employers with existing workforce partners to expand employment opportunities for individuals connected to Milwaukee’s community violence intervention ecosystem. Early conversations with employers have been very positive, and we are now working with JobsWork MKE and Employ Milwaukee, while engaging the Greater Milwaukee Urban League as an additional workforce partner. The Committee will also continue exploring how GMC members can support broader violence prevention, youth engagement, and community safety efforts.
