The Greater Milwaukee Committee continues to partner on many projects throughout the community. In addition, the GMC has several spin-off projects which originated within the GMC, but have since seen substantial successes and evolved into their entities.
Partner Work
The Talent Dividend initiative partnered with Community Career Connections, Inc., and Milwaukee Public Schools to create the My Life! My Plan! workshop. My Life! My Plan! uses experiential learning about career clusters and pathways in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Milwaukee Succeeds uses the Strive Educational Partnership model which is a framework that builds a civic infrastructure of stakeholders. This framework forms common goals that focus on success in the “cradle to career” scope. Milwaukee Succeeds brings together leaders who have all invested heavily in educational improvement, but have rarely worked collaboratively.
Reimagining High Schools has a strong commitment from the 60+ collaborators from the MPS High School SAS. All participants are on board, helped define basic goals, formed working groups and implemented some major quick wins.
MKE Fellows identifies high-potential black male college student leaders from economically disadvantaged communities and provide them with professional development, internships, and experiences needed in order to compete in an ever-changing global economy. The MKE Fellows program is coordinated by ALIVE!

BizStarts Milwaukee is an entrepreneurship assistance program, helping to grow businesses and create sustainable jobs.
CAM was a created to drive economic prosperity by growing creative industries in Milwaukee by leveraging creativity in education, commerce and culture.
Diversity in Business Awards are part of a historic partnership between the GMC and the Milwaukee Business Journal to recognize business leaders and companies that have boosted economic development in their communities.
Diversity & Inclusion toolkit is presented by FUEL Milwaukee and the GMC. It is a comprehensive resource library to enhance companies' diversity recruitment efforts.
Milwaukee 7 initiative unites seven counties around an agenda to grow, expand and attract world-class businesses and talents.
MetroGO! engages and inspires people in creating a regional transit network that fuels the economy and workforce growth, and builds vibrant, connected communities throughout 6-county metro Milwaukee.
The Water Council convenes the region's existing water companies and research clusters, develops education programs to train talent, and builds cross-sector and geographic partnerships.
Well City Milwaukee is a coalition of employers who joined forces to put Milwaukee on the map as the city with the nation's healthiest workforce.
